Pediatric Academic Clinic



Diane Kirby, M.D., received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana.  Dr. Kirby received her M.D. degree from Louisiana State University, New Orleans, and completed her Pediatric residency there as well. She was a Fellow in Educational Leadership and Teaching and Learning at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.  Dr. Kirby is the Director of the Continuity Clinic (Pediatric Academic Clinic) and Assistant Director for Faculty Development within the Pediatric Residency Program.


Hina Patel, M.D., received her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. She received her M.D. degree from St. George's University and completed her pediatric residency at Louisiana State University, New Orleans. Dr. Patel is a Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics.



Sylvia Montalvo Sutton, M.D., received her Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida and her Masters of Science in Medical Microbiology and Immunology from the USF College of Medicine.  She then earned her medical doctorate from Temple University School of Medicine, in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital and continued on as one of the Chief Residents in 2015-16. Dr. Sutton is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Dr. Sutton is a General Pediatrician and a preceptor in the Pediatric Academic Clinic.
