Keynote Speaker:

Adelaide Robb, MD

Dr. Robb is a Distinguished Endowed Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the George Washington University and Children’s National Health System. She is board certified in both Adult and Child and Adolescent psychiatry. She did her medical training and general psychiatry residency at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine then did her fellowship training at the National Institute of Mental Health in psychiatric genetics and at the George Washington University’s Children’s National Medical Center in child and adolescent psychiatry.

She sees children and adolescents with a variety of psychiatric disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings. Her focus is on psychopharmacology including the study of new medications in children and adolescents with a variety of psychiatric disorders. She served as principal investigator of over 70 pediatric psychopharmacology trials in children and teenagers. She was the site co-PI for the NIMH study Treatment of Early Age Mania (TEAM) and the site PI for the CoLT (Collaborative Lithium Trial) study which was a NICHD Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act trial of lithium carbonate for pediatric bipolar disorder.

Abstract Submissions

The 2018 Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital Education Symposium will continue the tradition of showcasing scholarly work within pediatrics. We welcome abstract submissions from physicians, residents, nurses, allied professionals and medical students to our poster program, which will feature work in the following domain areas: (1) clinical and translational research; (2) patient safety and quality improvement; (3) case reports and clinical vignettes; and (4) advocacy work.

Abstracts are due by January 22, 2018
