Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital is proud to host our second annual Education Symposium, to be held during the Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital Amazing Half Marathon Weekend on Friday, March 10 and Saturday, March 11, 2017.

This year’s CME symposium titled “Our Patients, Ourselves: Caring for our Community” will offer important topics related to pediatric and physicians’ health that clinicians and community members from across our region will find both compelling and clinically pertinent. Abstract Submissions

The 2017 Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital Education Symposium will continue the tradition of showcasing scholarly work within pediatrics. We welcome abstract submissions from physicians, residents, nurses, allied professionals and medical students to our poster program, which will feature work in the following domain areas: (1) clinical and translational research; (2) patient safety and quality improvement; (3) case reports and clinical vignettes; and (4) advocacy work.

  • Commissioner, Sandy Hook Advisory CommissionDr. Schonfeld is a developmental behavioral pediatrician and a national expert on guiding children through crisis and trauma. He will lead us in equipping pediatricians and community members with tools they can use to help our area recover from this past summer's events.
