Pediatric Hospital Medicine

Hospital Medicine

Pediatric hospitalists see patients who are admitted to the hospital, acting as the main coordinator of care after admission, working together with specialists to diagnose a child's condition and keep track of all aspects of treatment. Referring physicians receive admission and discharge notes and all patients are asked to follow up with their primary care physician after discharge. Patient care rounds are conducted daily or as often as need.

Our hospitalists also ensure the general practice pediatrician is well informed on the hospital visit and what's expected in terms of follow-up care. From infectious disease to internal procedures, pediatric hospitalists have a broad range of experience enabling them to deliver comprehensive care for your child.
